The rules for using this product and service.

Orange Ink Consulting (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides this last-player-standing football product (the “Service”) from Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom. The Service is available at lastone-standing.com and app.lastone-standing.com.
These terms are a contract between you and Orange Ink Consulting. By creating an account, joining a game, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is a skill-based last-player-standing football competition platform. Hosts create games around a competition. Players pick one team to win each round. A player cannot reuse a team they have already picked in that game. A pick must win to progress. A draw or a loss knocks that player out unless every remaining player also fails that round, in which case those players receive a bye.
The Service is not a bookmaker, betting shop, lottery, or pool-betting product. Any charge to join a game is a one-off platform service fee for access to the competition tools. It is not a gambling stake, wager, or prize pot. Hosts do not set a prize pool through the Service, and we do not collect, hold, or distribute winnings.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under the law of England and Wales. You must provide accurate account details and keep them up to date. One person should use one account.
You are responsible for your login details and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly through the Contact page if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being misused, created in bulk, or used to break these terms.
Hosts control who can join a game, including whether joins need approval. Players must submit a pick before the relevant fixtures get underway. Fixture data, kick-off times, and results come from third-party sport data. We may delay, withhold, or correct round evaluation if that data is late, incomplete, or later changed.
Picks, standings, and knockouts are determined by the published rules of the Service. We may intervene where there is an obvious error, abuse, or a fault in evaluation. We do not guarantee that a particular player will win a game, or that a game will run to the end of a season.
Creating an account is free. Some games charge a one-off platform service fee to join. That fee is set by the Service, not as a host-chosen stake or prize pot. Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers.
Fees are generally non-refundable once you have joined a game, except where required by law or where we reasonably decide a refund is fair (for example, if a game cannot start because of a fault on our side). Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

The Service, including its design, software, and copy, belongs to Orange Ink Consulting or our licensors. Club names, crests, and competition marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify fixtures. You may not copy the Service or use our branding without permission.
We aim to keep the Service available, especially around pick deadlines, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, sport-data outages, payment-provider issues, and events outside our control can affect the Service. We may change or withdraw features with reasonable notice where we can.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that English law does not allow to be limited.
The Service is provided for a consumer or small-group competition tool. We are not liable for lost profits, lost games, missed picks caused by your device or connection, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Our total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the service fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £50 if you have paid nothing.
You can stop using the Service and ask us to close your account through the Contact page. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms, if we withdraw the Service, or if we have to do so for legal reasons. Surviving clauses (including liability, intellectual property, and governing law) continue after the contract ends.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page will change when we do. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to tell you, for example by email or a notice in the Service. Continued use after the update is acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring a claim in the courts of your home UK nation where the law gives you that right.
